When you are part of a great team you tend to feel it - supported by people showing incredible levels of commitment, dedication and passion, and care. You feel proud and safe. But when your team is recognised for being great, that level of pride is heightened.
Schlam was recently certified as a 'Great Place to Work®' - just six months after we were proudly awarded the RISE Western Australia Employer of the Year.
Great Place to Work® is a global recognition program based on a rigorous methodology and validated employee feedback. The certification process includes a research-backed employee survey and review of company culture and programs. Our performance was measured against 30 years of data science and a database of 100 million completed employee surveys.
Executive Chair and Group CEO, David Haslett, praised the Schlam team for their recent achievement.
"We have an amazing team that embraces a strong cultural ideology, centred on creating exceptional experiences, for those who rely on us," said David. "Our regular Team Member surveys show that Schlam is a 'great place to work'. Now we have the certification to back it."
Schlam joins a list of leading and respected companies across Australia and New Zealand recognised with the Great Place to Work® certification.
"The 'Great Place to Work' certification is a result of the continuous effort and energy we invest in our people and culture," said David. "We attract and recruit the best people, and our staff turnover is low. People love working at Schlam. We're a team that's committed, dedicated and passionate, that also celebrates it's wins."
"I'd like to thank our team for taking the time to complete the 'Great Place to Work' survey. This achievement shows that we are a team that raises the bar to achieve even more."
Since the announcement of the certification, the Schlam team have been celebrating with commemorative cookies, lunches and even surprise visits from an ice cream van.
Schlam is now aiming even higher and vying for a spot on the Best Workplaces List 2023, which will be announced later this year.
