Precision line boring is the latest addition to Schlam's ongoing diversification.
The service is now being offered at all of our operational sites, or alternatively we can come to you thanks to a specialised vehicle set up.
Line boring, which is used extensively in the resources industry, is a process which is used to repair and reclaim machinery components on equipment generally deemed too large to be repaired on conventional workshop-based machining equipment logistically.
This specialised service requires a unique skill set and a high level of precision, according to Schlam Managing Director Ryan Schlam.
“We are very pleased to have gained the services of highly experienced line borer Gawain Cook,” he said.
“The service complements our other core business offerings well, and doing it in house means it will ultimately save our clients money – something that is a top priority for us.”
Overall it has taken three months to set up the new service as much of the equipment is custom made.
We are proud to confirm that all the equipment selected was made here in Perth, and it is genuinely pleasing to award the business to local companies.
